KAVISHA MAZZELLA
Born in the UK to Italian and Anglo-Burmese parents and migrating to Australia at an early age, Former Port Fairy Artist and Aria award winning Kavisha Mazzella AM is attuned to the power of cultural diversity. She is a warm, engaging, and thoughtful singer-songwriter who also invites audience participation in her concerts. She has been a valued part of the Australian Folk movement since the 1990s In 2024 she won the Australian Folk Alliance Lifetime achievement Award Her motto is Sing For No one, Sing For Everyone ! THE SKINKS
The Skinks are multi instrumentalist Andy Busuttil and guitarist Karl Javernig. The pair use looping to set up a musical conversation which is both spontaneously improvised and always different. This overlaying of sounds makes their performances unique and captivating not to mention invigorating. Their music is an exotic blending of Eastern European, Arabic and often with jazz inflections something hard to describe but 100% worth the attention. A distinct flavour of instrumental music masterfully presented.
