Bathurst Showground

Located in a central position close to the CBD and walking distance to shopping centre, restaurants and hotels. Offering powered and unpowered sites with grassed level areas and amenities including toilet and shower facilities. Camping entry is between 11.00am and 6pm and check-out is strictly 10am. We are pet friendly but must be on short leads at all times.

Abercrombie Caves Campground

Nestled along the picturesque Grove Creek, this campground is equipped with toilets, showers, powered sites and BBQ facilities. Campsites start at $24 a night, bookings required via NSW National Parks.

The Village Campground

Right by the centre of the historic Hill End township. The village campground can accommodate tents, caravans and trailers with powered and unpowered sites available. Toilets, showers, barbeques, fire pits and drinking water available. Bookings are required rates may vary.

Trunkey Creek Showground

40 minutes south of Bathurst, Trunkey Creek showground can accommodate powered sites for caravans and camping, with toilets, showers, fire pits and BBQ areas. Overnight fees apply and can be payed at the Black Stump Hotel.

Glendora Campground

Just on the edge of Hill End the Glendora Campground has powered and unpowered sites catering for caravans, trailers and tents. Toilets, showers, drinking water, BBQs, picnic tables and fire pits are available.

Wattle Flat Heritage Lands

Several bush sites are caravan accessible and suitable for tents. The Wattle Flat Heritage Lands has toilets and picnic areas, and non-potable tank water facilities. An overnight stay costs $5 payable at the Wattle Flat general store.

The Bridle Track

There are several free camping spots along the popular 4x4 trail, The Bridle Track, which begins at Duramana, north west of Bathurst.

Sofala and the Upper Turon Area

In and around the historic mining town of Sofala there are several Crown Land Recreation reserves that are available to the public year round.

Chifley Dam Primitive Camp Area

Currently Chifley Dam is on a 'RED' Alert - Closed to all water-based recreational use. 25 minutes from Bathurst, you will find the Chifley Dam Primitive Camp Area, suitable for fully self-catered camping. A great spot to stay for boating, fishing and camping.
