Gold: The Beyers and Holtermann Specimen, The True Story

Join us for a special event, documentary premiere and Q & A session with Holtermann’s descendants at BMEC. Bringing gold and the Holtermann name back together again as we celebrate 150 years since the discovery of the world’s largest known single mass of gold, The Beyers and Holtermann Specimen.
This ticketed event is presented by renowned goldrush historian, Malcolm Drinkwater. The feature documentary will take you on a journey the reveals the true story behind this remarkable find at Star Hope Mine at Hill End on 19 October 1872.
Doors open 1pm. Show starts at 1.30pm, ends 5pm.
