46th NSW State Square & Round Dance Convention

Bathurst is set to come alive this September as the Square and Round Dance Association celebrates its 70th anniversary with the 46th NSW State Square & Round Dance Convention. Held from Friday evening 25 September to Sunday 27 September at the Bathurst Panthers Club, the event will bring colour, music, and community spirit to one of regional NSW’s most historic cities.
Visitors can expect a vibrant weekend filled with lively dancing, warm hospitality, and the unmistakable energy of square and round dance culture. Dancers from across New South Wales and interstate will be travelling to Bathurst, making the city a hub of celebration and connection throughout the three‑day event.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer or simply curious, the convention offers a welcoming program designed for all ages and abilities. Square dancing is a joyful, social activity that promotes fitness, friendship, and fun — values that have shaped the Association’s 70‑year history.
Spectators are warmly invited to attend and watch for free, making it an ideal opportunity for visitors to experience the atmosphere, enjoy the music, and discover a unique part of Australia’s cultural heritage.
