Rockley

An immaculately preserved 19th-Century country town.

Experience the charm of Rockley. A 30-minute drive south of Bathurst, and one of the oldest European settlements west of the Blue Mountains. Declared as a National Trust Historic Village, Rockley is home to over two dozen Insta-worthy heritage buildings and beautiful parklands.

The Rockley Mill & Stables Museum housed in the former grain mill houses much of the machinery used for grain processing in the 19th Century as well as household artefacts that offer a fascinating look into rural life back in that period.

You can book into local Bathurst artist Tim Miller’s beloved studio for an art class, enjoy a scrumptious lunch at Rockley Pub, and end the day with a fine Italian wine tasting en route back to Bathurst at Vale Creek Wines.

Visiting in Spring? The Rockley Gardens and Art Festival is a virtual event in 2020 but the village itself is at its best and shows just why this annual event has become so celebrated.

And don’t miss the famous delights of Buddens Guesthouse located in the former Rockley Bank, also a comfortable relaxed environment for your special occasion.
