Just 30 minutes from Bathurst, Sunny Corner State Forest holds a wealth of adventure for anyone looking to get out in nature for a weekend.
Sunny Corner State Forest is open to the public for a range of activities including mountain biking, four-wheel driving, and horse riding on access trails and paths. As well as mushroom foraging during the Autumn months. There is also a dedicated recreation area for a free camp.

A round trip from Bathurst going through the Turon State Forest, along with Winburndale Nature Reserve and through Sunny Corner State Forest.
Much of the forest is managed by the State Forestry Corporation for pine plantation and timber production. Visitors are encouraged to observe all on-site signage regarding road closures, forestry operations, and restricted areas.
Logging trucks and forestry vehicles may be operating throughout the forest. Please drive with caution, be aware of changing road conditions, and adjust your driving accordingly.
