Macquarie River Bicentennial Park

Located adjacent to the Macquarie/Wambuul River at the lower end of William Street, Macquarie River Bicentennial Park was established as part of Australian Bicentenary celebrations in 1988 and has since become a favourite gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

With picturesque riverside surroundings, the park offers plenty of opportunities for morning walks, family picnics, relaxation, and play.

The park is home to several important historical and heritage features, including the Remembrance Walls, the Pillars of Bathurst, the Proclamation Flagstaff, and the tranquil Ohkuma Japanese Gardens. Visitors can also enjoy picnic facilities and a children’s playground, making it an ideal destination for all ages.
