Monthly History Talk – Bathurst Railway Station : A 150 Year Heritage Celebration- Autumn Colours Heritage Festival
March 19 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Ali Wright from the Bathurst Rail Museum will be delivering a special presentation celebrating
the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Bathurst Railway Station. This milestone marks a
significant moment in Bathurst’s history, commemorating both the arrival of the Main Western
Line to the city and the establishment of the iconic station that has served the community
for generations. To honour this major occasion, a series of events will be held across key
locations in partnership with local community groups and government departments.
These celebrations will highlight the rich social history of the railway and its enduring
importance to the people of Bathurst, with activities taking place from April through to the
June long weekend. Everyone with an interest in the region’s heritage is warmly encouraged
to take part.
