Cemetery Wander – Autumn Colours Heritage Festival Event
April 18 @ 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

4 April 1876 was an important day in Bathurst’s story: the day when the railway opened
in town. This event changed Bathurst in many ways, including the provision of many
employment opportunities. Join members of Bathurst Family History Group for a wander
around a section of Bathurst General Cemetery to learn some of the railway stories behind
the headstones. Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea supplied by the Group. Bring a hat, water
and sunscreen. Please wear sturdy walking shoes.
