Bathurst Region Tourism Autumn Photo Competition Terms and Conditions
By entering this Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Participation is open to all local and visiting photographers, subject to the conditions outlined below.
1. Eligibility
Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian to enter the Competition.
Employees of Bathurst Regional Council and their immediate families are permitted to enter but will only be considered for the public vote prize.
2. Entry Period
The Competition will commence at 00:01 the 1st of March 2024 (01/03/2024) and all entries must be submitted by 06:00 the 24th of May 2024 (24/05/2025). Entries submitted outside of the entry period will not be considered.
3. How to Enter
Participants can submit their photos via https://www.bathurstregion.com.au/bathurst-autumn-photo-competition/ including their full name, contact information, and optional brief description of the photo, optional social media tags.
Each participant can enter the competition multiple times, with no limit on the maximum entries, however resubmissions of the same image will not be considered.
Photos must be original work and must not infringe on the rights of any third parties.
4. Photo Requirements
Photos must feature the theme of “Autumn” in the LGA boarders of the Bathurst Region.
Photos must be submitted in high resolution JPEG or PNG format.
Digitally altered images will be accepted but must not include elements not originally present in the scene.
Vulgar, disruptive, distasteful or intentionally off topic submissions will not be considered.
As this is the first Autumn photo competition held by Visit Bathurst, photo taken in previous years are allowed to be submitted. However, in the 2025 and beyond if the Bathurst Region Photography Competition is run again any image submitted in 2024 will be ineligible for future consideration.
6. Judging and Prizes
There will be two winners: one selected by Bathurst Region Tourism and one by public vote.
Each winner will receive a Buy Local gift card valued at $250, redeemable at participating local stores.
Public voting will commence on the 24th of May and run until the 31st of May. Public voting will be conducted through the voting portal on bathurstregion.com.au.
Winners will be announced on the 1st of June. Winners will be notified by the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre via email. Winning images will also be posted with credit on Bathurst Visitor Centre Social Media Channels.
7. Rights Granted by You
By entering this competition, you agree that:
Bathurst Region Tourism and by extension Bathurst Regional Council has the non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display the submitted photos, in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, for promotional or marketing purposes.
You retain ownership of the photo but grant Bathurst Region Tourism the aforementioned rights without the requirement for any further permissions or payments.
You acknowledge that Bathurst Region Tourism is not obligated to use any of the photos submitted.
8. General Conditions
Bathurst Region Tourism reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Competition if any problem prevents the Competition from being conducted as planned.
Bathurst Region Tourism is not responsible for any errors, technical malfunctions, or failures of any kind that may affect the operation or administration of the Competition.
9. Privacy
Participants' personal information will be collected for the express purpose of administering the Competition and providing attribution to images in future use of submitted imagery in accordance with Bathurst Region Tourism's privacy policy.
10. Agreement
By submitting an entry to this Competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Competition.
