THE 8TH ANNUAL BATHURST WOMEN’S TRIATHLON (& Support Events)

This event is legendary in NSW for introducing the sport of triathlon to thousands of women. In 2018 Bathurst club management (including Richard & Anna Blackie) decided to create an event specifically targeting female participants, a grant was organised and Anna Blackie took on the Race Director role. The event would be a great success and grew rapidly receiving great praise from the sports management body, Triathlon NSW. State CEO Adam Wicks and NSW President Glenn Schwarzel so impressed they promoted the format to other clubs. In 2024 NSW Triathlon stated “that the Bathurst Event inspired the entire program!
