Monthly Muster – The Bathurst Volunteer Rifles with Roger Thornback

The Bathurst District Historical Society presents this month’s muster. The Bathurst Volunteer Rifles: Civic Pride & Defence of the Empire with Roger Thornback. Come along to find out why Bathurst petitioned the Governor General, twice, to allow it to finally form a Volunteer Rifle Corps in 1868. Bathurst has a strong military history, this talk will talk about this and identify some lines of local research to elucidate the Bathurst Volunteer Rifles Story.
