Australia Day in the Bathurst Region

Reflect, Respect and Celebrate Australia Day in the Bathurst Region on Monday 26 January.
Join us in welcoming new Australian citizens as they are presented with their Citizenship Certificates at the Annual Citizenship Ceremony.
When: 9.30am
Where: Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre – City Hall
Then, celebrate the significant achievements and outstanding contributions of our local community members at the Australia Day Awards Ceremony.
When: 11am
Where: Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre – City Hall
Cool off at the Manning Aquatic Centre this Australia Day with $2 entry from 11am to 5.30pm, water activities and a free BBQ lunch; or head out and explore one of the beautiful villages. Wattle Flat will be hosting a family fun day along from 9am to 2pm with a free BBQ, face painting, live music and more!
Plus, make the most of the Australia Day long weekend and enjoy a free outdoor cinema experience in Kings Parade on Saturday 24 January. Bring the family along to enjoy the iconic Australian film Red Dog (Rated PG) under the stars and soak up a beautiful summer evening in the park.
There will be no food trucks on site, so make sure to pack a picnic or grab takeaway from your favourite local restaurant, settle in for a fun night. Movie starts at approx. 7:30pm.
