Sunny Corner is home to hundreds of State Forest trails that are loved by 4WD enthusiasts, campers, trail bike riders, and mushroom foragers.
The Winburndale Nature Reserve is a great starting place to see some of the Bathurst region’s most iconic flora and fauna in their natural habitat including wallabies, echidnas, and the Purple Copper Butterfly, which is one of the rarest species of butterfly in Australia.
If you’re not sure about wandering all those trails by yourself, book a tour with a local guide to see some of the hidden outdoor gems of the region rarely visited by those who don’t wander off the beaten track. Local 4WD tour companies Detour Adventures and Simmo’s Off Road Tours will take you there.

Sunny Corner Trail Bike Ride
This annual event brings dirt bike enthusiasts to the village to enjoy a wild weekend of trail riding in September. All money raised at the event is donated to a chosen charity each year. Riders compete for prizes from sponsor brands Yamaha and more.
