Peel

Home to history.

The countryside around Peel was once fiercely contested between warriors of the Wiradjuri people and European settlers, with the grave site of the great Wiradjuri leader Windradyne situated on the ‘Brucedale’ property at Peel. Scenes from the 1994 film ‘Sirens’ starring Sam Neil, Hugh Grant and Elle Macpherson were filmed at Peel and nearby Sofala.
