In what is likely to be one of the biggest events ever seen in the region, Elton John is bringing his 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' farewell tour to Carrington Park Bathurst on Wednesday 22 January 2020. Local and national musicians and artists will flock to Bathurst at the close of summer for the celebration of arts, music and culture that is the Inland Sea of Sound Festival to be held on the 28-29 February 2020. Staged on a section of Wahluu - Mount Panorama usually inaccessible to the public, the event brings together the best talent across music and arts, as well as local providores, in a two-day celebration. An important springboard for homegrown acts looking to make their mark on the music industry, you'll be introduced to some new sounds as well as famous names from Australian music headlined in 2020 by Missy Higgins and Killing Heidi. - Inland Sea of Sound, aka the Central West's version of Coachella, is a two-day event jam packed with local musicians and top Australian artists all performing on top of Australia’s most famous race track, Mount Panorama.
- The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour held on Mount Panorama from 31 January to 2 February 2020 is rapidly gaining the attention of the motor racing world and rivalling the mighty Bathurst 1000 for popularity. The race is now generally acknowledged and recognised around the world as one of the most significant races for GT vehicles on the calendar, alongside contemporaries like the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hour and the Nurburgring 24 Hour.
- The UCI BMX Supercross World Cup will be held in Bathurst this summer, with two days of action on 8-9 February 2020. his international race series is the most important means by which countries qualify for the BMX World Championships and the Olympic Games.
