Rockley Gardens & Art
The historic village of Rockley 30 mins south of Bathurst are holding their second open gardens and arts trail on the weekend of the 9th and 10th November. Nine local gardeners are opening their gardens to the public between 10am and 4 pm. This year the historic estate Bunnamagoo (circa 1827), which produce award winning wines are opening their garden to visitors.
Fifteen local artists are exhibiting their work in the School of Arts Hall, as well as their own studios. It only costs $10 to see all the gardens and artworks as well as enjoy music in the gardens, horticultural talks and visit historic buildings. Tickets can be purchased on the day at the School of Arts Hall in Hill Street.
This event is being hosted by the Rockley & District Community Association Inc. to raise money to renovate the historic School of Arts building. The official opening will be at 9 am Saturday the 9th November. Fiona Ogilvy who writes a gardening column in ‘The Land’ each week will open the event.
