Allegri Singers in Concert

Allegri Singers presents two matinee performances in Bathurst, at Abercrombie House, on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May, both at 3pm. This promises to be an exhilarating experience, continuing the choir’s celebration of 40 years of performances.

Under the inspiring musical direction of William Moxey, and accompanied by the excellent Ian Bates on piano, the choir will present a varied programme, guaranteed to stir the emotions. Classical works from composers Haydn, Fauré, Bruckner, Saint Saëns and Vaughan Williams will sit alongside items from the choir’s lighter repertoire. The concert will begin with a surprise ‘a capella’ arrangement of a well-known overture by Rossini!

Abercrombie House is one of the choir’s favourite performance venues, where everyone enjoys the warm hospitality and enthusiasm of the hosts, Xanthe and Christopher Morgan.

The convivial mood will be made even more agreeable by taking afternoon tea following the performance, in the drawing room, (gold coin donation), with Christopher and Xanthe as your hosts.

Tickets available from Books Plus (cash only), via or at the door (cash only). Adults $30. Concession $25. School-age children free of charge, when accompanied by a paying adult.
