SUMMARY:MILLTOWN Screening
DESCRIPTION:MILLTOWN is a new living history film that celebrates the people of the historic Milltown area of Bathurst. A project between Arts OutWest and Chifley Home and Education Centre\, the film features interviews with Bathurst locals who lived in the Milltown / South Bathurst area in the 20th century. Their memories are woven together with personal film footage and with stories of Ben and Elizabeth Chifley to create a beautiful celebration of life by the railways. \nIt was produced by the Arts and Health team\, Kate Smith and Steven Cavanagh\, and was created by Bathurst-based film maker Henry Simmons.\nTake some time to relax and cool off this summer by dropping into the library to watch this short documentary. The 13-minute film will be screened on a loop at Bathurst Library from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 December during opening hours. No bookings are required. Please see the service desk for headphones.

SUMMARY:ANNUAL BATHURST CHRISTMAS TEAMS TRIATHLON
DESCRIPTION:Round 5 of the 2025/26 Bathurst Triathlon Season is on the 21st December 2025 and is the second Triathlon event of the summer. As normal\, the event before Christmas is the Bathurst Club’s “Teams Triathlon” promotion with everyone encouraged to form a team. It is a great opportunity for a newcomer to get involved and has a nice social feel before the Christmas break.\nTeams race categories are likely to include family\, business & gender categories\, but there will be a solo category on the day. After the senior events there will be Junior Racing in two categories.\nThe event is based at the Stanley St Clubhouse (behind the Pool).. Plan for an 8am start for the senior event.\nThe course consists of a 200m pool swim\, swimming around the buoys which will be in the shape of an “M” – getting in the Northeast corner and exist at the Southeast Corner. Then a 15km lap of the historic 11mile track on the bike obeying all road rules – followed by a 2.5km run (lap of the River Park.

Immerse yourself in a festive world of deep navy\, shimmering gold\, and glowing winter lights\, the perfect backdrop for creating cherished holiday memories – bookings essential   \n*​Festive Set Features*– A frosted Christmas tree\, glistening with navy and gold baubles\,– Warm twinkling lights that capture the glow of the season– Elegant décor and rich textures\, creating a modern yet timeless festive feel \nWhether it’s your first Santa photo or a treasured yearly tradition\, our beautifully styled set promises a magical experience and photographs you’ll love forever. \n*A Keepsake for the Whole Family*Bring the entire family—and yes\, even your four-legged friends—to capture a moment of joy and togetherness. Simply bring your own phone or camera to snap that perfect Christmas keepsake in this year’s luxurious winter palette. \n​Why Book Your Session?– A unique and elegant backdrop unlike the usual Santa setups– Use your own phone or camera so you can capture memories just the way you want– The chance to meet Santa in a relaxed\, magical setting \n​Sessions commence on Thursday 27th November and will run through till the 22nd December 2025. Tickets are $16.50 per family (max 6 people) and give you an allocated time of up to 5 minutes to sit with Santa and snap your group pics. Staff will be there to assist you in taking your images however you need to bring your own phone or camera. \n​We have allocated Five Pet Sessions with Santa and they are scheduled for the below dates & times. \n– Thursday 4th December – 6pm – 7pm– Saturday 13th December – 10am – 11am– Friday 19th December – 6pm – 7pm– Saturday 20th December – 10am – 11am– Monday 22nd December – 3:30pm – 4:30pm \nPlease note that YOU MUST have a PET to book one of these sessions.
