Simply bring your own phone or camera to snap that perfect Christmas keepsake in this year’s luxurious winter palette. \n​Why Book Your Session?– A unique and elegant backdrop unlike the usual Santa setups– Use your own phone or camera so you can capture memories just the way you want– The chance to meet Santa in a relaxed\, magical setting \n​Sessions commence on Thursday 27th November and will run through till the 22nd December 2025. Tickets are $16.50 per family (max 6 people) and give you an allocated time of up to 5 minutes to sit with Santa and snap your group pics. Home to an increasing cohort of contemporary artists seeking connection\, respite and balance\, regional Australia is a place where artists have space to create\, experiment and challenge. West of Central celebrates those who live and work regionally\, positioning the regional as central to their practice. \n\n\n\nFirst realised at BRAG in 2023\, this second chapter\, West of Central 2\, invited artists from LGAs of Lachlan\, Parkes\, Forbes\, Weddin\, Cabonne\, Cowra\, Blayney\, Orange\, Mid-Western\, Bathurst\, Oberon and Lithgow to respond to the ecologies\, histories\, and communities of these places. \n\n\n\nArtists: Adam Rish (Hill End)\, Gabrielle Bates (Kandos)\, Genevieve Carroll (Hill End)\, Graham Lupp (Bathurst)\, Gus Armstrong & Peter Swain (Kandos)\, Jonathan Jones (Bathurst)\, Laura Baker (Blayney)\, Nicola Mason (Napoleon Reef)\, Ros Auld (Borenore)\, Simone Darcy (Forbes)\, Steven Cavanagh (Hill End)\, Susan Baird (Hill End)\, the artHITects (Gary Carsley & Renjie Teoh) (Bathurst)\, Vicky Browne (Nullo Mountain). \n\n\n\nMore info \n\n\n\nOur Ngurang (Home) Program Exhibition\n\n\n\nBathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) presents the 2025 Our Ngurang (Home) Program Exhibition \n\n\n\nIn 2025\, BRAG partnered with Wiradyuri Elders\, Artists\, and Community to develop and deliver the Our Ngurang (Home) Program – an education program for students and teachers across Wiradyuri County in the Bathurst Region. \n\n\n\nWith a local focus on our shared home of Wiradyuri Country\, students from Blayney Public School participated in a year-long learning program of art\, culture\, and language workshops with Wiradyuri/Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones\, Wiradyuri Elder Wirribee Aunty Leanna Carr\, Wiradyuri artist Jessica Leffley\, and Yiri Sue Rice.

DESCRIPTION:Gather your loved ones and enjoy a traditional night of Christmas festivities hosted at Miss Traill’s House. \n\n\nJoin us at this fun family-friendly event as we welcome the festive season at this special National Trust (NSW) place. \nSing along to your favourite carols\, led by the Carillon Show Band\, and step back in time as you head inside to explore the historic house museum\, decorated in charming traditional decorations for the festive season. \nThere will be a range of kids’ activities on offer\, and children can look forward to a visit from Santa with his sack of surprise treats in hand. \nA sizzling volunteer-run BBQ\, ice cream and wine\, beer and soft drinks will be available\, or you can pack a picnic to be enjoyed in the heritage gardens. \nA raffle with a variety of prizes will raise funds for the ongoing care of Miss Traill’s House.

SUMMARY:MILLTOWN Screening
DESCRIPTION:MILLTOWN is a new living history film that celebrates the people of the historic Milltown area of Bathurst. A project between Arts OutWest and Chifley Home and Education Centre\, the film features interviews with Bathurst locals who lived in the Milltown / South Bathurst area in the 20th century. Their memories are woven together with personal film footage and with stories of Ben and Elizabeth Chifley to create a beautiful celebration of life by the railways. \nIt was produced by the Arts and Health team\, Kate Smith and Steven Cavanagh\, and was created by Bathurst-based film maker Henry Simmons.\nTake some time to relax and cool off this summer by dropping into the library to watch this short documentary. The 13-minute film will be screened on a loop at Bathurst Library from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 December during opening hours. No bookings are required. Please see the service desk for headphones.

DESCRIPTION:Join our series of low sensory story times for children and their carers who need more time to wiggle\, settle and be comfortable in the library space. \n\n\n\nThe sessions will feature books\, rhymes\, wiggle movements and visual cues throughout\, while being a friendly and supported space before the library opens to the public. \n\n\n\nAs the story time is held in the library before opening hours\, we ask that you arrive a few minutes early or on time so you can access the building. If you are no longer able to attend\, we would appreciate you letting us know as soon as you can\, so we can alert anyone on our waitlist. \n\n\n\nPlease bring a drink and any fidgets your child needs\, clearly labelled. \n\n\n\nIf you require anything specific in order to attend\, or have any questions\, please reach out to the Bathurst Library Team on 02 6333 6281. SUMMARY:ANNUAL BATHURST CHRISTMAS TEAMS TRIATHLON
DESCRIPTION:Round 5 of the 2025/26 Bathurst Triathlon Season is on the 21st December 2025 and is the second Triathlon event of the summer. As normal\, the event before Christmas is the Bathurst Club’s “Teams Triathlon” promotion with everyone encouraged to form a team. It is a great opportunity for a newcomer to get involved and has a nice social feel before the Christmas break.\nTeams race categories are likely to include family\, business & gender categories\, but there will be a solo category on the day. After the senior events there will be Junior Racing in two categories.\nThe event is based at the Stanley St Clubhouse (behind the Pool).. Plan for an 8am start for the senior event.\nThe course consists of a 200m pool swim\, swimming around the buoys which will be in the shape of an “M” – getting in the Northeast corner and exist at the Southeast Corner. Then a 15km lap of the historic 11mile track on the bike obeying all road rules – followed by a 2.5km run (lap of the River Park.
