DESCRIPTION:TALKS & TEA  \n\n\n\nJoin Bathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) Volunteer Guides for a spotlight talk and walk through of our current exhibitions! \n\n\n\n\nWednesday 10 December\, 10:30am-12:00pm\n\n\n\nTour of exhibition\n\n\n\nMorning tea by donation\, RSVP essential\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Exhibitions\n\n\n\nWest of Central 2\n\n\n\nConceived as an exhibition responding to place\, West of Central embraces artists who live and work across Wiradjuri Country in Central West NSW. \n\n\n\nThis Earth-centric exhibition honours artists’ care\, concern\, and respect for Country. Home to an increasing cohort of contemporary artists seeking connection\, respite and balance\, regional Australia is a place where artists have space to create\, experiment and challenge. West of Central celebrates those who live and work regionally\, positioning the regional as central to their practice. \n\n\n\nFirst realised at BRAG in 2023\, this second chapter\, West of Central 2\, invited artists from LGAs of Lachlan\, Parkes\, Forbes\, Weddin\, Cabonne\, Cowra\, Blayney\, Orange\, Mid-Western\, Bathurst\, Oberon and Lithgow to respond to the ecologies\, histories\, and communities of these places. \n\n\n\nArtists: Adam Rish (Hill End)\, Gabrielle Bates (Kandos)\, Genevieve Carroll (Hill End)\, Graham Lupp (Bathurst)\, Gus Armstrong & Peter Swain (Kandos)\, Jonathan Jones (Bathurst)\, Laura Baker (Blayney)\, Nicola Mason (Napoleon Reef)\, Ros Auld (Borenore)\, Simone Darcy (Forbes)\, Steven Cavanagh (Hill End)\, Susan Baird (Hill End)\, the artHITects (Gary Carsley & Renjie Teoh) (Bathurst)\, Vicky Browne (Nullo Mountain). \n\n\n\nMore info \n\n\n\nOur Ngurang (Home) Program Exhibition\n\n\n\nBathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) presents the 2025 Our Ngurang (Home) Program Exhibition \n\n\n\nIn 2025\, BRAG partnered with Wiradyuri Elders\, Artists\, and Community to develop and deliver the Our Ngurang (Home) Program – an education program for students and teachers across Wiradyuri County in the Bathurst Region. \n\n\n\nWith a local focus on our shared home of Wiradyuri Country\, students from Blayney Public School participated in a year-long learning program of art\, culture\, and language workshops with Wiradyuri/Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones\, Wiradyuri Elder Wirribee Aunty Leanna Carr\, Wiradyuri artist Jessica Leffley\, and Yiri Sue Rice.
