Dhuluny means the direct or gospel truth\, and the commemoration offered visitors the opportunity to share and understand the true history of our Country and celebrate the resilience of the Wiradyuri Nation. \n\n\n\n1 year on\, and 201 years since the Declaration\, we will take a look back on key moments from The Dhuluny Project and watch new documentary ‘The Declaration’\, exploring the cultural and historical significance of several sites on Wiradyuri Country. \n\n\n\nDocumentaries \n\n\n\n“Dhuluny: the war that never ended” (8 mins 27 seconds) \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, BRAG presented major exhibition Dhuluny: the war that never ended\, curated by Wiradyuri/Kamilaroi curator Jonathan Jones with Wirribee Aunty Leanna Carr. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition featured works by established and emerging Wiradyuri artists including Wirribee Aunty Leanna Carr; Michael Riley; HJ Wedge; Kevin Gilbert; Lorraine Connelly-Northey; Lucy Williams-Connelly; Karla Dickens; Jazz Money; Jamie-Lea Trindall; and Bria McCarthy. The exhibition responded to Martial Law\, truth-telling about the Frontier Wars\, and the ongoing national significance of the local events of Bathurst. \n\n\n\nProduced by Darkhorse Photography \n\n\n\n“Dhuluny 2024\, 200 years of Wiradyuri resistance” (30 mins)A look at the 2024 Dhuluny commemorative events held on Wiradyuri Ngurambang\, Bathurst. \n\n\n\nProduced by Greer Films \n\n\n\n“The Declaration” (35 mins) \n\n\n\nA documentary looking at several sites of cultural and historical significance on Wiradyuri Country. A former White House staffer\, he served three years during the Biden-Harris Administration as an Advance Associate. His political résumé includes roles such as senior policy advisor to the President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors\, regional chief of staff for Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign\, and advisory and staff positions across numerous campaigns and levels of government. He also works at the intersection of technology\, activism\, and journalism\, regularly contributing to outlets such as The Age\, Sydney Morning Herald\, Haaretz\, Pursuit\, and others.
