Peel

Don’t rush the scenic drive from Bathurst to the gold towns of Sofala and Hill End, as every village has its own story to tell. The countryside around Peel was once fiercely contested between warriors of the Wiradjuri people and European settlers, with the grave of the great Wiradjuri leader Windradyne on the Brucedale property at Peel.
