Melissa Doyle - Sunday Night
If you have a sweet tooth like me then you can’t go past the bright pink décor of Annie’s Ice Cream Parlour. It has an old-fashioned diner vibe and is decked out with retro memorabilia, but it’s Annie’s traditional ice cream that steals the show every time. Popular flavours among young and old crowds are Sofala Gold and Bridle Track paying homage to Bathurst’s heritage and the region, but my go to is the Hokey Pokey.
One of a kind views
Aussies love a good road trip and Bathurst is only a short three-hour drive away from Sydney, but what many people may not know is that the drive up through the mountains is one of the prettiest drives in NSW - especially in autumn. After exploring the town you can’t leave without taking the car for spin around Mount Panorama.
Foodies are in for a treat when visiting Bathurst - there are so many great eateries and cuisines to grab a quick bite, or to wine and dine at, and all in the heart of the city. From Italian restaurants, Indian, freshly made pastries from boutique French patisseries and culinary events all year round.
