Ann Marie Craine - Winter-Rose Cottage B&B
Phillipe and Angel run a genuine French cafe here in town. The gourmet cakes are irresistible - in fact, it’s important to go there for morning tea as the extensive selection is drastically reduced by the afternoon. Not a sweet tooth? They also have the most delicious home made quiches, chicken pies, sausage rolls and terrines.
Bathurst Adventure Park
Another great opportunity for families to get together - this awesome adventure park with BBQ facilities, slippery dip, swings, climbing structures and educational objects like fossils imprints is a perfect day out.
Tip tip: There are a number of play items in the park especially designed for people with disabilities.
Is Lebanese food your thing? If you want fresh, healthy, tasty food, I’d recommend you have dinner at Maloufs. You and your family or friends can have a banquet of the dishes or order individually. The cheese stick with feta cheese and herbs is a must.
Top tip: This place is BYO - you can get a bottle of wine at Dan Murphy’s over the road.
Bathurst Winter Festival
This really is the best winter wonderland you can think of. What a great family night skating in Russell Street between the Park and the Court House, which has lighting playing on the walls as you skate. The best bit? No need to cook that night as you can buy snacks from one of the food trucks and then enjoy a ride on the Ferris Wheel. Warm clothing is a must.
