Kathryn Gates - NRMA Bathurst Panorama Holiday Park

Jack Duggan’s
Fancy an Irish feed and a cold Guinness? Jack Duggan’s is the perfect place for that and more. This old style Irish pub is a great place for any night of the week but if you are there over the weekend be sure to check their schedule as they are great for some live music and a cracking dance floor on a Saturday night.

Mount Panorama
If you’re heading to Bathurst, we always recommend dedicating an afternoon to run or take a leisurely stroll around the famous road that all the locals know as Mount Pan. The steep uphill may not sound so great but we guarantee it is worth it when you get to enjoy the amazing views at the top.

Top tip: Just be sure to use caution when walking on these roads and always check
for cars.

O’Connell Hotel
If a little drive out of town to see the countryside is what you’re after, than the O’Connell pub is the perfect place to stop for lunch and enjoy the Bathurst region. Just a 20 minute drive from the centre of town, this old style pub is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal in the beer garden and soak up the sun.

Stone Pine Distillery
This place is locally owned and run and it is definitely worth a visit to their stall at the Bathurst Farmers Markets to pick up a bottle from them. With their environmentally-friendly practices, they keep this gin as green as possible. Some of their specialty Australian gins have even won a Silver Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London. They also have rum, vodka and other spirits and, yes, you can buy online.

Top tip: Try their Dead Man’s Drop - Barrel-aged rum with orange peel, vanilla and the Australian native flavours of ringwood and cinnamon myrtle.

Piccolos Café
This was once just a little window on the main street and now it’s a contemporary café with the perfect Bathurst atmosphere - this little gem is definitely one to experience while you are in town. Stop in for breakfast, lunch or coffee and enjoy soaking up the style of this lively place.
