NOW ON AT BRAG

GARDEN OF FORKING PATHS - 16 MARCH - 29 APRIL 2012.
Vintage 80's video games meet modern contemporary art in this unique display now on at the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery. Revisit the stunningly simplistic era that kept us entertained and addicted to the 2D, low res computer screen throughout the 80's and 90's. Rediscover Pac Man and grating sound effects while enjoying the contrast back to gaming today.

HILL END 1851 to 2011: FROM THE PERMANENT COLLECTION - 16 MARCH - 29 APRIL 2012.
This quaint little village not only supports striking landscape and captivating gold rush history, but is host to a thriving community of contemporary artists involved in a BRAG initiated Residency Program. The history, landscape and life of Hill End continues to elicit a strong response from artists working across all areas of media.

ADAM CULLEN & MICHAEL BINKINS: POST COLONIAL ARCHITECTONICES (IN DISCOURSE) - 16 MARCH - 29 APRIL 2012
A collaborative exhibition/installation comprising of etchings, bronzes and digital works that reflect how both artists have responded to the historic and emotionally charged Hill End landscape. The work in this exhibition represents a creative discourse between two like-minded artists exploring how Hill End's foundations, both real and romanticised, have informed the post-colonial Australian ethos.

Newtons Nation

Mount Panorama, Friday April 27th - Sunday April 29th

Welcome to our nation,

This is no ordinary land, there's no place for boredom here, only room for the adventurous, the brave, the fun filled and frontier pushers, the music lovers and the talented. A nation that sits at the top of Mount Panorama.

Though the year our citizens spread out around the world, pushing their bodies to new limits, practicing....knowing that over three days there is a place where their sports are legal, where there is a pride that beats in the chests of all around them, where they come together to find out who are the real Kings of the mountain.

Others come to perform, entertain, stand in awe, camp on the mountain top but all share in the same vision. This is the land where the best mingle with the novice. Where ego's are left at the bottom and there is no room for tossers.

Join us, become a citizen!
